Michael Joseph Keller, 59, who has no fixed address, according to the sheriff's office, was arrested for burglary in a dwelling and trespassing on the private property following an incident earlier in June, officials announced on Thursday, June 23.

A burglary was reported in the 2900 block of Penwick Lane in Dunkirk when a man allegedly broke into an area property without authorization to be there, a spokesperson for the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office said.

It is alleged that Keller initially attempted to enter the building, but realized it was locked, officials noted. He then was able to manipulate the lock on the door to illegally gain entry to the dwelling.

Investigators noted that Keller had previously been caught trespassing at the property.

Responding sheriff’s deputies were able to locate Keller inside the property, and he was taken into custody without incident. He was then transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and held.
